The worth of these upgrades is determined by their tiers, requirements and the amount of random augmentations applied. The most powerful racial Shield Razortail, for example, is often upgraded to increase its lightning absorption function in PvP or add additional defenses to missile-based builds in the PvM. This makes it more exchangeable than the un-upgraded version. Reroll Tokens Reroll tokens permit you to roll a purchased item such as a weapon, armor or ring. The item is replaced by another item of the same type and comes with different benefits. Reroll tokens are an efficient method of upgrading equipment. They don't maintain the original equipment's condition and any money wasted won't get compensated. The survivors can get tokens to reroll in many ways, including the Mistery Box and rare drops from skulled creatures. They are also available in chests and crates or purchase them from the stores for $150 each. Reroll tokens can be used to alter an attribute on an item for example, increasing its damage or granting it a brand new stat. Players can roll their equipment in three categories that include physical power, magical power and health. Physical power increases the damage that melee and weapons and spell power improves rings and mage attacks. Health upgrades give the player additional health. Three types of reroll tokens are available in three categories: upgrade, rare and legendary. Each of these upgrades an item to a higher-quality and requires a higher-level reroll token in order to make it. Enhanced upgrades require a common item, rare upgrades require a special or a legendary item, and legendary upgrades require three legendary items. However, this will ruin the previous upgrade. Requirements Upgrades to items allow players to boost certain attributes of armor and weapons they already have. The requirements to upgrade an item differ depending on the type of item, but you'll typically need Dilithium along with a number Upgrade tokens. Items can be upgraded by adding upgrade components to equipment and weapons. These will provide additional effects or an increase in quality of the item. These upgrades can be obtained through a variety of sources in the game, including crafting, purchased at the Trading Post or karma vendors or looted from bosses and raids, or dropped from dungeons. Upgrades can increase the Mark Level of an item or Rarity. Certain upgrade components have additional modifiers that can improve the item's stats. Certain items are better off being upgraded not so much for their improved stats, but more for the fact that it allows players to gain the maximum amount of value from a perfect roll on the item. For example, a perfect-rolled 200/6 504 armor set piece is highly valued in the melee PvP community and can be worth 20-50 times the value of the unupp'd version. The game will display the requirements once you choose the upgrade component that goes into the item. These include the type of item (either Weapon or Armor) the tier of that item and the upgrade Token required, and the amount of progress required to complete the upgrade. The game will add an item in your inventory when you have met the requirements for an upgrade. The progress bar will then update to show you how far to finishing the upgrade.
